About Chris – drum tutor

Chris started to play drums around the age of 13 and by 15 was in his first band. He performed in and around the local area before wanting to study music at world famous Tech Music Schools in west London. His dream dream was to always become a professional musician and to always push himself into being better. Chris was lucky to have been trained by Trevor Tomkins (Director at the Royal Academy, London) Darryn Furrugia, Head of Drum Tech and many more. He has attended many master classes, with one of his particular favourites being Jo Jo mayer!!

Chris has played all over the country in many different venues and has been employed as in house session drummer, sessions for bands, solo acts and also played in original bands too! He therefore brings with him to The Musical Box a whole wealth of experience and in particular his knowledge of the teaching techniques at two of the countries foremost musical institutions.
