Having changed our policy in April reagrding cancellations and make-up lessons from allowing one re-arranged lesson per stuent per block to sending video lessons for every lesson missed, we have received several positive comments such as this response:

We attended the first TMB Masterclass last week and thought it was well organised with interesting & useful info about different genres. It was well adapted for beginners and the more experienced so everyone enjoyed it and gained something. I gained more knowledge about different musical styles & how to play them. Thank heavens we found The Musical Box! What a brilliant, professional and caring company they are. Any difficulty, such as unable to make a lesson an alternative date can be quickly and easily agreed. Our son loves his singing lessons, they are what he most looks forward to in life. Since starting with TMB earlier this year he's a much happier boy with something to really look forward to each fortnight. Tim and his teachers are a talented bunch - very in tune with children and teenagers. They are fantastic at bringing out the best in them, and harnessing and nurturing their interest and enthusiasm. My daughter learnt drums, guitar and bass here for several years and she is now at BIMM in Manchester (Europe’largest music college) doing a music performance degree. I have just been chatting with my daughter who has singing lessons at the school and I was touched by what she said to me. She has struggled with her self confidence recently and with the support of Brad (her teacher) and the team was able to perform in public for the first time recently at the Boxfest concert. It has made a world of difference to how she feels in so much as she was able to stand up and perform in public and she could not be more grateful to Brad....he was amazing on the day of the performance and supported her all the way through. We love The Musical Box! We first went along simply because they had the nearest drumming teacher to us but, from the first moment we walked through the door, we realised that these weren't just your average music lessons. These were awesome music lessons! Now we have 2 guitarists and a drummer in the house, who all look forward to their lessons and take their practice seriously. It's great that the lessons run through the school holidays so there's real continuity. Plus, if we find we're busy and need to rearrange a lesson, Tim, Paula and the teachers always do their best to accommodate us provided we give them enough notice.

From a mum - I am so pleased with R*** - to let you know - since taking drum lessons with you he has gained enough confidence to re-join the village silver band (who originally taught him to read music and and to play the cornet, but he never played in the band due to nerves or dis-interest). He is now playing percussion for the training band and has played at one school fete so far. And yesterday he signed up for 2 after-school clubs - 'classic rock music' & 'playing in a band' - he has never wanted to do anything after school before. Oh, and I forgot that he also started bell-ringing for the church earlier this year and is now almost ready to ring with the main group following a few months of 1:1 training.Thank you TMB for inspiring R*** and giving him the confidence he needed.Looking forward to Boxfest.RM 21.06.2018

My son and husband have been having drum lessons for the last year. They have both made fantastic progress thanks to the superb teaching! It is also a cool place hang out. I love having the chance to make myself a cuppa and chill out using the free WiFi or reading a magazine whilst the boys have their lesson. Paula, I wanted to let you know about an amazing lesson that happened at Stratford High school last week. I met with Oliver, and we had a great breakthrough. He matched pitch with the piano more than he ever has before, managed to get through all of the warm ups I threw his way, AND he prepared a new piece that was sung SO well. Oliver left absolutely elated by the success he felt during this lesson.

The Musical Box have been providing tuition in guitar, bass, drums, piano/keys and (most recently) singing at Stratford-upon-Avon School since 2011, with some group workshops supplied as required. We have at least one of their experienced and hugely enthusiastic teachers in nearly every day of the school week, all of who have gained superb results from our students, both in terms of grades achieved and engagement with instrument lessons. The service and communication from their administrative team has been similarly impressive, working with our staff members to ensure seamless tuition from week-to-week, term-to-term and year-to-year – not an easy task in a school of this size.
Regarding quality provision of musical instrument and vocal tuition in a school environment, I cannot recommend The Musical Box highly enough.
My son really likes drumming and so we will have to rethink about cricket (which he also likes)...We think Alex is a really good teacher and both my boys really enjoy his lessons.

TMB is an awesome place to have music lessons!! I've been having drum lessons for the past few months and I'm really glad that I found TMB online. Not only does each lesson really help to improve my technique and my ability, they are also really good fun! I've been learning different skills and techniques at the same time as learning songs; this is an exciting way to learn as I can play along to some of my favorite songs! I now actually look forward to Mondays because of my drum lessons!

Our son George has been learning electric guitar with Guy since the New Year and boy is he doing well!! Guy has him practising his chords and grade pieces, but also doing really cool things like F1 theme tune, James Bond, James Blunt, Smoke on the Water.....the list goes on. We are both really jealous that our 10 year old is officially cooler than we are......he loves practising, he finds it really fun and can't wait for each weeks lesson. My daughter has been having lessons at The Musical Box for a couple of years now. She started off learning electric guitar, but has enjoyed them so much, she's now learning drums and keyboards too. She gets so much out of her music lessons - they help her to de stress and unwind after school, and the teachers at TMB make the lessons enjoyable and fun. Our 10 year old has been having piano lessons with Henry for three years and loves it. He gets to play a beautiful baby grand every week and, alongside working through the grades, he always has a pop song on the go (so far he has learned ‘feelin’ good’, ‘Rolling in the Deep’, Sweet Child of Mine’, ‘Grenade’ and ‘Set Fire to the Rain’ and is about to tackle ‘Honky Tonk Woman’). Sometimes they both let rip as a duet with Henry providing extra twiddles on the keyboard and singing. This is Henry’s magical ingredient: it’s not all hard slog with just grades as distant rewards; Henry’s cool, they have a wail of a time and my son has some ‘show-off’ pieces to impress whoever comes to the house.

We love our music lessons here. Tim is a great teacher – always positive and enthusiastic. I feel exhilarated after my hour's lesson. At 42 I felt a bit of an idiot taking up the drums, with my 13 year old daughter – but it's been one of the best things I've ever done.

It was well adapted for beginners and the more experienced so everyone enjoyed it and gained something. I gained more knowledge about different musical styles & how to play them. Any difficulty, such as unable to make a lesson an alternative date can be quickly and easily agreed. Our son loves his singing lessons, they are what he most looks forward to in life. Tim and his teachers are a talented bunch - very in tune with children and teenagers. They are fantastic at bringing out the best in them, and harnessing and nurturing their interest and enthusiasm. I have just been chatting with my daughter who has singing lessons at the school and I was touched by what she said to me. She has struggled with her self confidence recently and with the support of Brad (her teacher) and the team was able to perform in public for the first time recently at the Boxfest concert. It has made a world of difference to how she feels in so much as she was able to stand up and perform in public and she could not be more grateful to Brad....he was amazing on the day of the performance and supported her all the way through. We love The Musical Box! We first went along simply because they had the nearest drumming teacher to us but, from the first moment we walked through the door, we realised that these weren't just your average music lessons. These were awesome music lessons! Now we have 2 guitarists and a drummer in the house, who all look forward to their lessons and take their practice seriously. It's great that the lessons run through the school holidays so there's real continuity. Plus, if we find we're busy and need to rearrange a lesson, Tim, Paula and the teachers always do their best to accommodate us provided we give them enough notice.

From a mum - I am so pleased with R*** - to let you know - since taking drum lessons with you he has gained enough confidence to re-join the village silver band (who originally taught him to read music and and to play the cornet, but he never played in the band due to nerves or dis-interest). He is now playing percussion for the training band and has played at one school fete so far. And yesterday he signed up for 2 after-school clubs - 'classic rock music' & 'playing in a band' - he has never wanted to do anything after school before. My son and husband have been having drum lessons for the last year. They have both made fantastic progress thanks to the superb teaching! It is also a cool place hang out. I love having the chance to make myself a cuppa and chill out using the free WiFi or reading a magazine whilst the boys have their lesson. Paula, I wanted to let you know about an amazing lesson that happened at Stratford High school last week. I met with Oliver, and we had a great breakthrough. He matched pitch with the piano more than he ever has before, managed to get through all of the warm ups I threw his way, AND he prepared a new piece that was sung SO well. Oliver left absolutely elated by the success he felt during this lesson.

The Musical Box have been providing tuition in guitar, bass, drums, piano/keys and (most recently) singing at Stratford-upon-Avon School since 2011, with some group workshops supplied as required. We have at least one of their experienced and hugely enthusiastic teachers in nearly every day of the school week, all of who have gained superb results from our students, both in terms of grades achieved and engagement with instrument lessons. The service and communication from their administrative team has been similarly impressive, working with our staff members to ensure seamless tuition from week-to-week, term-to-term and year-to-year – not an easy task in a school of this size.
Regarding quality provision of musical instrument and vocal tuition in a school environment, I cannot recommend The Musical Box highly enough.
My son really likes drumming and so we will have to rethink about cricket (which he also likes)...We think Alex is a really good teacher and both my boys really enjoy his lessons.

Not only does each lesson really help to improve my technique and my ability, they are also really good fun! Our son George has been learning electric guitar with Guy since the New Year and boy is he doing well!! Guy has him practising his chords and grade pieces, but also doing really cool things like F1 theme tune, James Bond, James Blunt, Smoke on the Water.....the list goes on. We are both really jealous that our 10 year old is officially cooler than we are......he loves practising, he finds it really fun and can't wait for each weeks lesson. My daughter has been having lessons at The Musical Box for a couple of years now. She started off learning electric guitar, but has enjoyed them so much, she's now learning drums and keyboards too. She gets so much out of her music lessons - they help her to de stress and unwind after school, and the teachers at TMB make the lessons enjoyable and fun. Our 10 year old has been having piano lessons with Henry for three years and loves it. He gets to play a beautiful baby grand every week and, alongside working through the grades, he always has a pop song on the go (so far he has learned ‘feelin’ good’, ‘Rolling in the Deep’, Sweet Child of Mine’, ‘Grenade’ and ‘Set Fire to the Rain’ and is about to tackle ‘Honky Tonk Woman’). Sometimes they both let rip as a duet with Henry providing extra twiddles on the keyboard and singing. This is Henry’s magical ingredient: it’s not all hard slog with just grades as distant rewards; Henry’s cool, they have a wail of a time and my son has some ‘show-off’ pieces to impress whoever comes to the house.

We love our music lessons here. Tim is a great teacher – always positive and enthusiastic. I feel exhilarated after my hour's lesson. At 42 I felt a bit of an idiot taking up the drums, with my 13 year old daughter – but it's been one of the best things I've ever done.
