About Guy – guitar tutor

Guy is a talented and dedicated guitarist who has played alongside Tim in various bands for many years. At the age of six Guy had already mastered the art of playing along to the hits of The Beatles and the Shadows - with a tennis racket. However, he had to wait until his fifteenth birthday before he got a real guitar - spurred on by seeing Ritchie Blackmore playing with Deep Purple at Birmingham Town Hall. That was in 1973 and he's still just as enthusiastic about playing guitar now. He teaches at The Musical Box and in schools for TMB and always seems to keep enthusiasm and fun in his lessons.

CRB Approved

All teachers at The Musical Box have been fully checked prior to employment through the Criminal Records Bureau, and are required to renew their CRB certificate when they expire to ensure the highest degree of safety and security within The Musical Box school of rock.

Fave bands: The Beatles, Deep Purple, XTC and a huge list of other stuff from Nat King Cole to Metallica.
Likes: Being alive, playing music, listening to music, reading, fresh air, old black and white films (and some new ones) real food, history, Bournville plain chocolate.
Dislikes: Ignorant people, too many tv channels, Radio 1 'dj's', people who bump into you whilst making unnecessary calls on mobile phones, drivers who don't indicate, the laziness of text language - ie, c u 2nite arrggh!
Best day: The old cliche' I'm afraid - being there when my two children were born.
Favourite gig played: There have been loads - but one new years eve at the Tiller Pin in Leamington springs to mind. It was rammed and everyone was jumping!
