28.07.11 - New Studio Opening
Coming Soon ...........'Box Fest' the official opening of The Musical Box's new studios in Stratford on Sunday 4th September. Come and check out our new pad with 'live room, 5 studios for your enjoyment to learn music in style and meet the teaching team' From 2 - 4pm enjoy tours of the new studio and trial lessons. Then from 4 - 7pm listen to live music and a enjoy a BBQ (if the weather holds!!!!) Anyone interested in a show round and music tuition no matter what age or ability is welcome and of course their friends and family too! 24.07.11 - Souldern Beer Festival Performance a great success
The Musical Box students put on a 2 hour set at The Souldern Beer Festival which went down a storm. Well done to everyone involved who put in so much hard work to get prepared for the event. Have a look at our Facebook Page for photos and videos of the students in action!
08.06.11 - Changes to TMB prices
As you all know we have not increased our lesson prices for the last 3 years due to the recession and times being hard for everyone. We have now got to add 20% VAT to all our charges so we have decided to ' share the pain' and reduce the lesson price slightly to keep the cost as low as possible for you.
Hour lessons will now be charged at £25.50 + vat
Half hour lessons will now be charged at £16 + vat
Schools will be charges £26.50 + vat per hour for each teacher booked..

05.05.11 - Summer Gig for students @ Souldern Beer Festival
The Musical Box have been given a 2 hour slot at the Souldern Beer Festival, which is down the road from our Fritwell Studio. We are therefore going to be offering the chance for student bands to play a short set to gain valuable gig experience. Have a look at our activities page for more information.

7.12.09 - The Musical Box plans to open a second studio in the new year
TMB is growing!! We are opening a second studio teaching Guitar, Drums, Bass, Keyboards and Vocal coaching over near Bicester and Thame. This studio will be run by James Dodd who is a trusted friend not to mention a family member!! James is a seasoned musician, a great teacher and dedicated to offering the same teaching styles and surroundings in the Thame area as we do at Alderminster. So good luck to James.... and if anyone has family or friends over that way contact James on james.dodd@themusicalbox.co.uk
17.03.09 - The Musical Box Rockathon raises £2408!
Thanks to all the sponsors, schools and participants, we raised a whopping £2408 for Comic Relief. Massive thanks to all the schools who took part; Hampton Lucy School, Bridgetown Primary, The Willows, Welcombe Hills School and Kitebrook House School. You certainly all ROCKED! 23.2.09 - The Musical Box Rockathon - a Red Nose Day event The Musical Box students and teachers are going to hold a ROCKATHON to raise money for Comic Relief. We are hoping to play constant music from 8am until 8pm on 13th March 2009 - Comic Relief Day. 13.1.09 - Christmas party hailed great success! Because of everyone who took part we managed to raise £250 for The National Association for Gifted Children. A big thanks to all the parents who helped...you know who you are! Well done and thanks to AMBER WILD, PATRICK KERNOHAN, LAUREN ROWLEY, JACK MURPHY, MARK DOVE, GEORGE LYALL, SYMRUN CHATHA AND SAM WALPOLE for rehearsing and working hard on their songs and for playing live so well!!! Huge thanks to 'Ten Feet Tall' for playing and inspiring all our students. Photos have been posted on Tim's Myspace. 10.9.2008 - New website launched!
With a huge amount of fanfare… we're proud to present our brand new, fresh and sparkly website - we hope you like it!
We'd like to thank Giles at WhiteRabbit Creative for the website design (very rock and roll) and David at DC Development for the technical coding magical bit. Naturally, of course, we posed for photos, looked thoughtful in the meetings and threw in critical phrases like 'don't cross the streams', 'reverse the polarity of the neutron flow' and 'does my bum look big in this?'
