Hugh is a drummer and percussionist who has been playing for over 12 years. He was actually taught at TMB until he was 11, this is where he first fell in love with the drums. Hugh plays predominantly for theatre shows in pit bands around Oxfordshire as well as jazz, funk and pop bands. He also plays percussion (orchestral and auxiliary) as he is also part of orchestras. He has experience playing the bodhran and djembe which are two of his favourite percussion instruments. He has also appeared as an actor-musician at the Oxford Playhouse playing djembe on stage. 

Hugh believes that drums and percussion are some of the most fun and expressive instruments but are also the most vital. He believes that being able to hold a band together and to be able to play multiple genres is really important when it comes to playing the drums. But he also believes that the drums are the foundation to any song and should be simple and a lot of fun to play!
