drum lessons

Our drum lessons near Stratford-upon-Avon and Bicester help students develop rhythm, co-ordination and timing. We teach in comfortable, soundproofed studios and all drum studios have two kits so when you come to a lesson you have a kit to yourself (no swapping around on drum stools with your teacher).

All lessons are one-to-one and parents of younger students are welcome to either sit in (bring ear plugs!), relax with a hot drink and a biscuit in our waiting room or come back and collect at the end of the lesson.

Drum lessons for kids and adults

We firmly believe that drum lessons should be fun. We encourage our students to learn songs they love and want to learn. Ideal for beginners and experienced drummers alike, we’ll teach you solid technique, rhythm and musicality. Our lessons are practical, highly informative and confidence-building. If you’d like to take grades, we work with the RockSchool or Trinity Guildhall syllabus, but remember exams are not compulsory!

Everything you need is included

The studios are equipped with two drum kits (and we can accommodate left and right hand drummers), a good stereo system, various other percussive bits and bobs and a whole load of resource material. You can choose to follow a syllabus or we can tailor lessons to address specific concerns, queries or just to learn that ‘one’ song that will make your musical life complete!

Band days and workshops

We believe that playing in a band is an incredibly rewarding experience. It’s a way of making life long friends, experiencing the buzz of playing live, meeting new people and it’s also a fantastic way of honing your playing skills.

That’s why we hold weekly band days and variety of other workshops where players (young and old) can refine their muso “life skills”. 

The sessions are fun, informal and we match player level so no one feels out of their depth.
