January Opening Information

Hi All,

As you are all aware things have changed hugely over the holidays and are still changing further.

We are waiting to speak with Public Health England, district councils and schools to gain clarity on whether we are able to run face-to-face lessons. We hope to be able to do this tomorrow (Monday 4th January).

In the meantime, we have decided to run ALL LESSONS NEXT WEEK (W/C 4th JANUARY 2021) AS LIVE OR RECORDED VIDEO LESSONS. We believe that this is the safest course of action for everyone until our position is clearer.

NOTE - If you cannot take online video lessons successfully for any reason (such as you have no instrument at home, noise or wifi issues), PLEASE CONTACT US ASAP. We will try to assess each case individually and in certain circumstances arrange one-to-one COVID-safe lessons at the studio only where online lessons will not work. Please bear with us through this time. It is important that you contact us asap or it will be assumed that online, live or recorded lessons will take place.

If you have joined TMB since the last lockdown and have not had video/ recorded lessons before, PLEASE call us asap to make arrangements. We will attempt to call you all too before your first lesson back.

Jack has informed us he has been told to shield and his health is our primary consideration. He will still be carrying out online/recorded lessons from home.

Opening or closing is a huge dilemma for us as we seem to fall beteeen the cracks where any financial support is concerned. We haven’t had any help financially since March and we haven’t been given a 'holiday' or exemptions with any of our expenses such as rent, insurances etc. This leaves us in a very difficult position. We don't want to be seen as being in anyway irresponsible and safety comes first but we also don't want students to stop lessons. Music has been hit so hard in this pandemic and it is not getting any easier at the moment.

With any luck there is a light at the end of the tunnel! Fingers crossed this will be over soon!??

We will keep in touch and are back in the office tomorrow at 9am.

Kind regards

Paula and Tim
