Our history
We’re proud to say that we are one of the longest standing independent music schools in the country. Now in our TWENTIETH year we’ve come a long way since our humble beginnings with one room, one man and a drumkit!
Now we have 9 teachers, two sites, 9 rooms and have taught well over 3000 students at our studios. We also teach in schools across Warwickshire, Worcestershire, Gloucestershire Northamptonshire and Oxfordshire. Phew!
Our aim is to get as many people playing music and loving it as possible. All ages and abilities welcome.
Most of our time is taken up with teaching one-to-one lessons. We teach guitar, bass, drums, piano, keyboards, ukulele and singing. Contemporary music is our preference but we of course teach whatever the student wants to learn.
To add more to the lessons we offer performance opportunities. We love playing with other musicians and keeping music live. A few years ago we also launched our practical musicainship group sessions - fully interactive workshops that cover a range of important musical skills like:
- Playing in a band
- Guitar set up and maintenence
- Re-heading / tuning drums
- Looking after your voice
- Home recording
We now also have our very own syllabus books for student to work from until they are ready for grades or song based learning.
WE OFFER SO MUCH MORE THAN JUST A MUSIC LESSON...... every student who joins TMB gains real experience and training in every aspect of being a musician!
