Lockdown latest

As you will know, new national lockdown measures come into force on Thursday 5th November. Having read Government and industry guidance, there is a grey area as to whether we are classed as leisure or education - we are both!

We are continuing to teach in schools while schools are open.

It is ambiguous as to whether we are supposed to close the studios, so we have made the following decision: All students who are able to take part a live video lesson from their teacher at the same time and day as they usually have a face-to-face lesson, will be transferred to FaceTime, WhatsApp or Zoom from Thursday 5th November onwards.

Had online lessons with us before?

If you have previously had online lessons with us, your teacher will use the same details to contact you as before. If you'd like to change them, please email us to provide new contact details.

Not had online lessons before?

If you joined The Musical Box after the last lockdown, we will contact you individually to find out the best way to contact you for online lessons. BUT if you'd like to make our lives easier, please drop us an email with the student name, which platform you would prefer (FaceTime, WhatsApp or Zoom) and the phone number/email address.

If you are a student who cannot successfully take part in a video lesson from home due to, for example, a lack of instrument, then please get in touch with us ASAP as we will discuss this with you in person. Call Tim on 07799 544923 by Wednesday afternoon at the latest, or email us. In these cases, we may be able to offer socially distanced, COVID-safe studio lessons, but these have to be kept to a minimum.
